[edit] Show Rundown
- Segment 1, Space News 00:00 to 14:00
- SpaceX performs Falcon 9, COTS-2 engine firing SpaceX
- SpaceX's First Mission to ISS Space.com
- SpaceX announces deal to shuttle tourists to private space stations arstechnica
- Is Texas forfeiting the private space race? Houston Chronicle
- Hawaii to be an aerospace hub? Washington Examiner Parabolic Arc with video
- Build the "real" USS Enterprise buildtheenterprise.org
- Segment 2, Main Topic 14:00 to 28:00
- ATK Liberty Rocket announcement.
- YouTube - The wrong vehicle at the wrong time. At best it's a means of keeping the solid propellant industry going for ICBM/SLBM fueling needs. High price, low performance, all the problems of solids, foreign chokepoint (Ariane s2nd stage), the whole concept is a non starter compared to what Space X has already done. - TalksWithDirt
- YouTube - I'm still rooting for SpaceX even though a 3.5 million pound thrust solid rocket is awesome. Elon and company have their sights set on Mars so I want their early efforts to succeed so that they can explore the heavens for us. - oisiaa
- SVC - Liberty - Awesome! U.S.A. will rule the Space Industry again. I'm tired of seeing Russian getting paid millions to put "American" Astronauts into space. - Marty Simonich
- SVC - Behold! Son of the Corn Dog (Ares I) and just as stupid. - Rick Boozer
- ATK Liberty Rocket announcement.
- Segment 3, Viewer Comments 28:00 to 42:00
- YouTube - 2012 is a BIG year! First Planetary Resources, then, in August, Curiosity is supposed to land... what else? - ricois3
- YouTube - I think the point made during the Hermes segment is perhaps the most important - the necessity for average people to become informed and active in the development of this technology is essential - rather than leaving it simply to government and corporations. Doing so ensures that this technology is kept accessible to all and that the awesome power of harnessing the vast resources of space is not abused. Great point Ben and great video to you both. - HeliosWorksAV
- YouTube - The big boys don't have a single stage to orbit rocket that is fully reusable and has a turnaround time of two days. That's what will make it many times cheaper. But it's more of a plane than a rocket so it is different technology. And don't forget Larry Page and Sergey Brin started building Google in a garage. - sogley
- YouTube - Absolutely no one is going to go up there and stop you from mining asteroids. Hooowever, you will find yourself sitting on a lot of product that you can't move once you get back. The Outer Space Treaty establishes all celestial objects as "the common heritage of mankind" and that it cannot be claimed by any state. At the time, private companies doing any of this was unheard of, and so the legal question remains, but this may prove problematic. - meespable
- SVC - Bring on 12 mins of hell for MSL. Cause my friends, who are not at all space nuts, love the idea, that we are landing a "Mini" on Mars! - Owain Bellamy

- While not really "space news", this site (and software package) needs to be seen by Ben and Cariann: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/
- Would love to see the developers of this game being interviewed by space geeks. At least the game offers good eye candy and is definitely something for space geeks to behold
